The Wheel of Time audiobooks are worth their weight in silver crowns and bring extra charm and sparkle to Robert Jordan’s books. They are a refreshing new way to experience the series, and I recommend you give them a listen if you haven’t already.
The complete works are brought to life by award-winning narrators, Kate Reading and Michael Kramer. Their work treasured by the fan community, and highly praised by reviewers. I listen to The Wheel of Time audiobooks daily, and I’ll never tire of them. In the bath, in bed, or on the road, there are plenty of convenient places that work especially well for an audiobook listener.
It’s a real buzz to get through all fifteen volumes with Kate Reading and Michael Kramer. They have rich, engaging voices that ensure you believe in the world and its cast of characters. I have no hesitancy in recommending that you listen through The Wheel of Time audiobooks either before, after, or instead of reading the physical copies of the book series.

Kate Reading and Michael Kramer
Kate Reading and Michael Kramer have worked on hundreds of projects together. You can find more information about their background and recordings at katereadingaudiobooks.com. The Wheel of Time narrators are both advocates of the Books to Prisoners scheme, so the link is to that not-for-profit organization’s donation page.
The reading of The Wheel of Time audiobooks is split between Kate Reading and Michael Kramer, though not always equally. They narrate scenes based on which character/s are central to it, but it’s not always a gender-specific divide. This keeps the lengthy narrative fresh and engaging throughout. Both voice the characters splendidly, performing for the listener, and bringing even the minor parts alive. It’s easy to immerse yourself in the listening, and the story feels real as they recite it for us.
I have tremendous respect for Kate Reading and Michael Kramer as recording this lengthy series to such a high and consistent standard is an incredible feat. Reading the book series from beginning to end is immensely rewarding and listening to The Wheel of Time saga unfold with these narrators is no different.
