Written by Robert Jordan, Rand prepares to take devastating action to stop his Asha’man from becoming raving dogs of madness. Moridin decides the Dragon Reborn must be killed, while Padan Fain has always had that notion. Min, Nynaeve, and Cadsuane aim to keep Rand alive… and sane.
You’ll be dismayed by the use of the Oath Rod and the treatment of Faile, Alliandre, and Morgase but heartened by sisterhood and the unveiling of Mat’s destiny. All this makes Winter’s Heart a cracking read that is grossly underrated.

Winter’s Heart is a terrific book for anyone aged 14 to 17, and fantasy enthusiasts worldwide are still reading it well into their 40s. By this stage, you need to have read the series up to this point to understand the many subplots.

Winter’s Heart follows The Path of Daggers in the main series, and you should read it before tackling Crossroads of Twilight, the tenth installment.
